Simon is an experienced General Paediatrician and Neonatal/Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant at Sydney Children’s Hospital. He completed his General Paediatric and Paediatric Intensive Care training in Ireland and the United Kingdom before relocating to Australia to undertake further advanced specialist training in Sydney.

Simon is a thoughtful and compassionate paediatrician, deeply committed to supporting children and families through complex medical journeys. He takes a holistic approach to child health, recognising the close connection between physical wellbeing, development, and family dynamics. Known for his warm and approachable manner, Simon works closely with families and GPs to provide clear, personalised guidance—helping parents feel informed, supported, and confident in caring for their child.

He has broad experience with common and uncommon presentations including reflux, constipation, growth and respiratory issues, as well as long term management of chronic conditions.

His professional interests include long-term outcomes following paediatric and neonatal illness, ANZICs research, simulation-based medical education and point of care ultrasound.

Outside of his medical practice, Simon enjoys family life, sports and has co-founded two charities.
