Simon is an experienced General Paediatrician and Neonatal/Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant at Sydney Children’s Hospital.

He completed his General Paediatric and Paediatric Intensive Care training in Belfast and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom before relocating to Australia, where he undertook further advanced specialist training in Sydney. 

Simon has extensive experience in tertiary and quaternary paediatric hospitals, providing care for critically unwell infants and children. He is deeply committed to supporting families through complex and often challenging medical journeys. He is known for his calm, compassionate, and approachable manner. Simon provides clear, individualised guidance to help parents feel informed and confident in caring for their child.

His professional interests include long-term outcomes following paediatric and neonatal critical illness, simulation-based medical education and point of care ultrasound.

Outside of medicine, Simon spends time with his family and enjoys watersports.
